Many individuals find meditation to be soothing on multiple levels. The two Buddhist practices of Metta and Tonglen are delivered in a non-denominational format meant to be welcoming to all humans. The techniques are simple enough that whether you’re a seasoned meditator or are new to these practices, you can participate in the experience fully and gather all the benefits of participation. MINDFULNESS MEDITATION FOR UNCERTAIN TIMESWednesday, August 12 at 7:00pmThis virtual gathering is intended to be accessible for people with a range of experiences with mindfulness, whether you’re just starting out on the path or you’re looking to deepen your practice. The program will include a variety of mindfulness practices: guided and silent sitting meditation, gentle yoga, and loving kindness practice. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, and have a yoga mat and meditation cushion or pillow with you. MANAGING STRESS IN STRESSFUL TIMESWednesday, July 29 at 7:00pmWe will learn what stress is, how to tell when it is a problem, and some strategies to manage it. We will also learn how stress is different from anxiety and why that difference matters. Presented by Renée Cardone, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Spring-Ford Counseling Services.
